WOW!

Guess what just opened about 5 miles from my apartment.........

Not only did this establishment just open about a week ago but the lovely company sent me (and probably everyone within a certain radius of the storefront) a $5 gift card! Woo hoo!
I went the other day to this lovely, new, clean, large, has everything you'd ever need store and just walked up and down the aisles. I live life large people!
I did leave with a few things...like a fully cooked and seasoned rotisserie chicken for $3.50 and some veggies. Perfect semi-homemade dinner!
I can't wait to go back and walk through the craft section! While I was browsing I did notice lots of fabric and other cool arts and crafts things!

Crazy Eights

Last week, I was tagged in the blog world for the first time! Melissa, has asked me to complete the following 8 questions!

1. What is the best book you have ever read?

I'm probably breaking the rules with my answer to this question but it's my blog, so my rules!

When I was really little, I remember that I loved
Katy No Pocket by Emmy Payne and Jamberry by Bruce Degen. I also loved the Berenstain Bears series by Stan and Jan Berenstain and Henry and Mudge by Cynthia Rylant.

As I "aged" I enjoyed
Amelia Bedelia by Peggy Parish, Junie B Jones by Barbara Park, The Boxcar Children by Gertrude Warner

In middle school, I remember reading
Tears of a Tiger and Forged by Fire, both by Sharon Draper

In high school, college and beyond I enjoy(ed) reading
Almost anything Nicholas Sparks wrote, I really liked Let's Roll by Lisa Beamer, Crazy Love by Francis Chan and of course I was fan of To Hate Like This is to be Happy Forever by Will Blythe, The Carolina Way by Dean Smith, The Road to Blue Heaven by Wes Miller, Hard Work by Roy Williams. I'm sure I've read and enjoyed more, I just can't think of them!

2. What is your special talent?

These probably aren't considered talents, but I'm really good at picking people out of a crowd (real life and pictures), sale shopping, using coupons and organizing.

3. What is your dream job?

If we are talking about paid positions, I would LOVE to oversee the marketing/promotions for a college or professional team. Ideally, I would work for the UNC Tar Heels or a professional football/basketball team.

If we are talking about a non paid position, I always said my dream job was to be a stay at home mom, drive a SUV, be the mom that made all the fun food for kid and adult parties and just love life! Seriously though, I would be really good with the whole themed events! I'd even watch other peoples kids.

4. If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?

This is tough. I've had 2 good friends pass away so I'd like to be able to talk to them again, but if dinner is involved I'd probably want to eat with Paula Deen, Bobby Flay, Rachel Ray...anyone from the Food Network!

5. What is your best memory from this summer?

Wowsers....well, June wasn't really exciting, in July, Claire and Dave got married and for August, I went home for a few days and the kiddos I used to watch surprised me at the airport

6. Do you prefer football or basketball, or neither?

Oh my stars! I am a MASSIVE College Basketball fan! I'll watch it on tv, in real life, movies, read in books and magazines. I do enjoy College Football as well! I'll watch NFL games but I'm that emotionally/physically involved in them. If I do watch an NBA game it's because I want to watch a certain athlete.

7. Winter Olympics or Summer Olympics?

To attend, depends on the venue. To watch, probably Summer. To complete, I'd probably take the winter GOLD in Curling or Figure Skating and the summer GOLD in Swimming or Track. Ha! :)

8. What is one thing you hope to accomplish by August 2011?

I'd really like to find a new career, become more involved in church (would probably help if I start to go to the same church consistently) and be on Dancing with the Stars. Hey, a gal can dream, right?

Sunshine on a cloudy day...

I've been having a rough few days/weeks.
So "rough" to the point that I cry.
Me.
The one without tear ducts (I have them, I just don't use them).
The one that never cries.
Yep.
I've been really sad.
So imagine my surprise when I came to work today and saw these on the counter for ME!

My amazing Mom knows that I've been down in the dumps so decided she would brighten my day with these GORGEOUS flowers!
The ironic thing is they made me cry. :)
I know things will get better.
I know God has a plan.
I know everyone says "If He brings you to it, He'll help you through it."
and everyone also says
"God gives you want you can handle"
Frankly, I'm handling a lot more than I'd like too. :)
Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday.

HOME is where the HEART is

Yesterday, I left work around lunchtime, headed to the airport and flew HOME!!!!

I'm home for a super quick trip, hence the flying not driving.
I left Charlotte, flew to Cleveland, Ohio since I was unable to find a direct flight (I only booked my ticket early Tuesday morning) had a 37 minute layover (which looking back was a bit crazy since I had to switch planes and gates but luckily we landed 15 minutes early so it all worked out) and was off to the Philadelphia airport.

It's only about an hour and a half from the Philly airport to my Mom's house, so really, with all of the flying and driving I still made it home quicker by air!

However, the BEST part of the trip was landing in Philly and walking to meet my Mom. We were on the phone trying to find one another since I wasn't exactly sure where she was and I was just following the massive group of people assuming they were all headed to the parking lot. I thought she was alone because based on our calls/texts throughout the day, she was alone.

But....

I was wrong! She brought T, K and their Mom, C!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As you can see in the first picture, I was VERY excited/surprised/happy!

After we rode on the "moving sidewalk" and found the car, we headed to a super fancy dinner at Applebees.

We happened to sit in a large round booth and we were talking about all of the pictures by us. T was really excited about the Superman photo to the right of my head.

After much discussing, T decided he wanted to MEET Superman. So we looked up his address because it was VERY important to know where Superman lives.

As of 9:00 this morning, T has already written his letter to Superman. We are going to put it in the mail and hope that Superman writes back! They are coming over to swim in a little bit (with little J who is only 21 months old and just a bit too little for the airport craziness) and it's off to mail that letter to Superman!
Hope everyone has a GREAT Friday!!! I know I will!!!!!

100 years to live....

Since this is my 100th post,

I decided to offer you lovely readers 100 things about me!

I know you are THRILLED! :)

  1. I’m a first born across the board
  2. According to the stars, I’m a Pisces
  3. I’m happiest around water...beach, lake, pool, pond... so I guess the stars know what’s up
  4. I have never attended a Broadway play but I would like to see Wicked
  5. I have been to the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Show by the Rockettes in New York City
  6. I bought my first car a month before I began my senior year of high school
  7. I had my first car accident spring semester of my freshman year of college. It was not my fault
  8. I don't like for my car to get below half a tank before getting more gas...a quarter of a tank is ok but anything lower "scares" me

  9. I often wish I had a musical talent. Maybe if I could sing or play an instrument...or excel at sports
  10. I'm slightly OCD but it’s more of me being really organized and having a plan
  11. For the majority of my life I wanted to be a 1st or 2nd grade teacher
  12. Junior year of high school I decided I wanted to be an athletic trainer....I was going to complete my graduate work at a High school and of course embark on a career as a college Athletic Trainer
  13. I actually majored in Sports Marketing and Management with a minor in Business Administration
  14. I still want to oversee the game day marketing and promotions for a college or professional team
  15. But I do enjoy my current job because I have more of a creative say in what happens and I’ve met a ton of college and pro athletes!
  16. Against my High School Guidance Counselors wishes, I only applied to three colleges and was accepted
  17. I only visited two college campuses from the three in which I applied. Looking back, I wish I went on more campus tours
  18. I initially was very against going to the school in which I graduated from. I wanted to transfer. Badly. But didn’t. Looking back, I’m glad I stayed put
  19. To say that I over think a lot of my choices would be an understatement
  20. I'm a rule follower...except for the time the pool was supposed to open at 10:00am and at 11:15am the gate was still locked so I hopped the fence!
  21. I like to follow recipes when I cook but I tend to throw just about anything in a crock pot with some chicken and I'm usually pleasantly surprised!
  22. I always thought it would be fun to work in a grocery store which is why I love the self check out lane
  23. Working at Starbucks would scare me
  24. But I do enjoy their Cinnamon Dolce Frapp as well as the Salted Caramel whatever you call it and Pumpkin Spice beverages
  25. I’d rather enjoy a Campfire Mocha with Dark Chocolate and no Whip Cream from Caribou Coffee though
  26. I find grocery shopping relaxing
  27. I’m addicted to coupons and unless it is completely unavoidable, I rarely buy anything full price…and I’m proud of it!
  28. I’m a church hopper
  29. I was raised Catholic. Attended the Presbyterian church for 2 years, joined the Methodist church and 6 or 7 years later so far so good
  30. I’m closest to my Presbyterian Sunday School teacher and Methodist Youth Group Co-Leaders
  31. I would love to own a dog…but I work too much and it wouldn’t be fair to the dog
  32. But when I do own a dog…I’ve always wanted a yellow, chocolate or black lab

  33. I’ll name him Tar and teach him to Heel :)
  34. I’m addicted to Grey’s Anatomy and have been since it started in 2005
  35. I HATED the Season Finale in May….in fact I remained in the fetal position crying my eyes out after the first 8-15 minutes. I was good to go….we started watching again…..and 30 minutes in I was back to being a mess and had to take an hour break before we resumed. Luckily I was watching it with Adrienne and Jeff on the Sunday after it aired so we had plenty of time for my minor freak outs!
  36. Private Practice was pretty great too and now it’s just complicated but I still watch
  37. I do enjoy watching Glee. It makes me happy.
  38. I LOVE NCIS and NCIS LA….but I favor NCIS

  39. Yet, I can’t watch CSI because it scares the you know what out of me
  40. I could watch Big Bang Theory for HOURS! BAZINGA!!!!!!
  41. How I Met Your Mother is equally funny
  42. I think florists, while they put together gorgeous bouquets and arrangements are overrated and overpriced.
  43. I also believe that flowers from the grocery store or farmers market are much prettier and a better use of money
  44. But flowers from the garden/side of road are equally amazing
  45. I decorate my new room/dorm/apartment before I unpack clothes, dishes etc.
  46. I have a five shelf bookshelf that only has picture frames on it...no books
  47. I’ve always dreamed about a dream house with a room upstairs that is half of a hardwood basketball court with a hoop painted on the wall and half of a football field with green carpet and a yellow goal post pained on the wall
  48. In this dream room a big flat screen tv will be on the middle wall and all the walls will be lined with pictures of athletes and coaches that I have met and other sports memorabilia
  49. Before Steve and Barry’s closed, I wanted to rent an RV and go on a stadium tour. I’d gather a bunch of friends, buy as many college t-shirts and hoodies as possible and watch as many football and basketball games as possible! It was going to be epic.
  50. I still want to do a football/basketball rival game stadium/arena tour
  51. I’ve attended numerous college and minor league football/basketball/baseball games but never a professional game. Except for the Baltimore Orioles. I plan on changing that this football season!
  52. I don't like green beans
  53. I love the smell of clean laundry! In fact, I love to do laundry. I want Tide to make a candle/room spray
  54. My first “real” concert was Dave Matthews Band at Hershey Park

  55. Ive attended more Eric Church concerts than anything else

  56. The last concert I attended was Casting Crowns

  57. With the exception of Jam Session at home as well as the plethora of other fine summer concerts, my favorite concert set was the Passion Conference

  58. My first "job" was babysitting

  59. The first little boy that I watched is about to begin his SENIOR YEAR of HIGH SCHOOL. He was 3 the first time I watched him

  60. I love kids and enjoyed babysitting so much that I’ve often thought about opening a daycare for just the kids that I wanted to watch

  61. But then I realized how much paperwork and how many rules were involved with it

  62. However, aside from working in a restaurant for the first time, I was a nanny for an AMAZING family after college. I love those kiddos a TON and miss them TERRIBLY

  63. During my time with them I realized I kind of want to be an Imagination Mover and hang out with Rich, Scott, Dave, Smitty and Warehouse Mouse

  64. My first “real” job was working at a Pool Store. I could test water and treat a cloudy/green pool like a champ!

  65. Summer 2001 I spent 9 days in Washington, DC for the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership World Leadership Conference or HOBY WLC

  66. It was life changing and I’d go back with that same group in a heartbeat

  67. I miss DC and want to visit again. Summer 2001 was the last time I went with the exception of passing the monuments from I 95….which doesn’t count!

  68. My Grampa always thought and still thinks I should've gone into Politics.

  69. I was the Executive Board Student Council President in High School

  74. I want to somehow be a STAR so that I can be on Dancing with the Stars because I probably won’t make it as a professional ballroom dancer

  75. If I could eat one thing each day for every meal it would be my Grammas French Toast

  76. In fact, I would much rather eat breakfast food for all meals, all day

  77. I love a capella music but don’t listen to it that often. It amazes me

  78. Mr. Holland’s Opus is one of my favorite movies

  79. But so is The Patriot, Remember the Titans, Baby Mama and The Hangover

  80. I find beauty in the little things

  81. I love taking pictures that are abstract

  82. When I was little I would search the beach for hours looking for the smallest shells and treasures with my Gramma

  83. I’ve never been camping…unless you count in the comforts of the backyard with beetles crawling in my hair. It was glamorous

  84. I HATE snakes with a passion

  85. I also HATE scary movies
-Funny story….in high school a bunch of us got together and watched Gothika in a friends Florida room….full of windows….yea, we ended up closing all of the blinds and about half an hour to forty five minutes into the movie, Ashley, Sara, Chad, Ryan, Matt and I were all sitting on the same couch
  86. The last time I was dragged to a Haunted Forest against my will was Senior Year of college. It was traumatic. I literally grabbed on to whoever was next to me, screamed and squeezed their arm until it was blue. I hated every minute of it and couldn’t sleep for weeks. The guys found it amusing

  87. I have LeBron James’ autograph from when we were in high school
-He was playing in a high school basketball tournament at the beach and he happened to be sitting in the section next to us. None of the guys would go talk to him, they just stared. I went over to him and asked him to sign the ticket stub from the game he had just played in. I made that DECISION in less than 59 minutes and 49 seconds too :)

  88. I have a Fourth of July Bucket list….Charleston, SC, NYC, Washington, DC, Boston. Naturally, any beach rocks for 4th of July festivities!

  89. I’ve been to New Orleans twice before Katrina and once after. I definitely want to go back when it’s not 100 degrees…and I want to go to Mardi Gras

  90. I tend to go through food addictions weekly. Pretzels, bagels, waffles, guacamole, chips and salsa, ice cream, fro yo. I’m currently addicted to Traditional Chex Mix

  91. But anytime I eat something that resembles a "mix" I eat it piece by piece. Using Chex Mix as an example, I eat all rye chips first, bread sticks, pretzels, chex pieces with the least amount of seasoning and I finish it off with the chex pieces that are loaded with flavor. Weird, I know! :)

  92. I love bagels from a little shop at home at the beach

  93. I’m really good at walking around Target for the fun of it

  94. I enjoy music and outdoor concerts

  95. Even if it’s just a little two person band in the middle of bunch of restaurants/shops…if there is music, I’ll sit and listen

  96. I've met 3 bloggers in real life. The Williams Family (Patrice, Matt & Jonah), Nonny (Love Being a Nonny) and most recently Melissa (The View From 5' 2")

  97. I often wonder why the symbol for foot is ' when clearly it should be " since we have 2 feet

  98. I have never dyed my hair...yep, I was struggling for a last fun fact with that one!

  99. Some of my favorite bible verses are: Mark 12:30 Luke 1:37 Jeremiah 29:11 Isaiah 55:9 Proverbs 3:5-6 Matthew 16:23

  100. I live a blessed life and I am beyond thankful for my family, friends and future

There ya have it! Here's to 100 more posts! And the promise that I will not do a "200 things about me" post!

If I was winning an EGOT (Emmy/Golden Globe/Oscar/Tony) I would like to say that:

I thank "Love Being a Nonny" for giving me the encouragement and inspiration to start this blog. She is an amazing woman with a heart filled with love, compassion, support, strength and happiness. May God continue to bless her and her adorable, growing family!

that's what I love about Sunday....

Today was my first day off in exactly 2 weeks.
Crazy. I know.
I had big plans for today!
I woke up this morning and went to a brand new-to-me church.
Can I just say that it was AMAZING!
As you know, I'm a self described "church hopper" so I've gone to a few churches in the area and wow, after today I think I found a new home.
Despite today's sermon being the last in the series, I really enjoyed it. The intro to the sermon was pretty neat as a few members of the staff recited Romans 8 from memory and it was just powerful. So powerful that we got a glimpse into football season and ended up high fiving the people sitting around us...which was super weird since I went to church by myself and was seated next to a random family. Oh well!
The sermon was based off of Romans 8:37
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."
As you probably guessed, it was about conquering and the difference between being a "Conqueror" and being a "Super Conqueror" and really, all I could think of for a moment (among church things of course) was Superman and having super powers. I then had to chuckle because I now had the image of a picture that I used to have (that sadly I don't have on my laptop to show you since it was taken with gasp.... film) of D when he was 5 years old, standing on the front steps leading into the house with a "suit" on, his hands along the buttons of his shirt, clip on tie flapping in the breeze and his Superman pajama shirt underneath as little E was in her car seat fresh from the hospital, wrapped in a pink blanket....Big Bro a step above her to protect her! (D&E I babysat for when I was in High School) Too cute!
Anyway, I'm super excited for the next sermon series and glad that I can listen to the sermon online as well. It's so funny how far church has come. I grew up sitting in the very front pew, not allowed to talk or turnaround, singing the hymns and only clapping when we went to church Saturday night and the "fun" worship leader (back then was just a lady with a guitar and a microphone) was leading everyone....moving on to a church that was a bit more relaxed but still piano/organ and hymns....moving on to a church that was expanding and having a Contemporary Worship Service in the Fellowship Hall with folding chairs, drums, guitar and microphone to slowly adding a projector and a movie screen to today where it was just intense. God is good!
I left church feeling happy and like I may have found a church "home" and I was excited! I was so pumped that I headed here:

to look for one of these to take home with me:

and I was now so overwhelmed and confused with the massive selection, that I came back to my apartment without a fan.

I just want a plain ol fan that someone will install so I don't burn the place down. I would like to be able to just flip a switch and it'll turn on. I don't need or want anything fancy. But really, does the length of the blade matter? Yes, the color does, but the speed and the light and the size. It was too much to deal with right then and there because I had an important lunch date!

The Newlyweds, Claire and Dave, were in town for a wedding last night so naturally we had to meet for lunch! It was great that I got to see them for a bit as a married couple!!!! And really, who doesn't want to enjoy some Chili's Chips and Salsa with friends on a Sunday?!?!?!

After lunch I came back to my apt and headed to "Sundaes on Sunday" which was supposed to be a way to meet your neighbors but it was raining. The ice cream was mighty tasty though!
I sat on my front porch and watched it rain as I ate my ice cream. It was so weird. I was so excited to have a pool day since I haven't been to the pool in at least a month and gosh darn it, it was sunny and it rained, rinse and repeat. So I sat outside, eating ice cream and watching it rain.
I did some laundry and met Adrienne and Jeff for dinner! I tried sushi for the first time but ended up ordering my staple, Chicken Teriyaki with Fried Rice as they ate sushi...what can I say, I may be a creature of habit :)
And now, Remember the Titans is on. Really, what more could I want!!!
I am so ready for some FOOTBALL!
"Alice, are you blind? Don't you see the family resemblance? That's my brother." -Gary Bertier
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, those who have been called according to his purpose." -Romans 8:28

E-I-E-I-O......

When I went "home" a few weeks ago, we just had to go to the Farmer's Market!

I have always been a big fan of the Farmer's Market.

At home home in DE, we had a cool Farmer's Market that was in town and they had an Italian Water Ice stand that was probably my favorite. Well, that and the sunflowers that you could buy for a quarter!!!!

The "home" Farmer's Market is right down the street from where I lived when I watched Squirt for his first 9 months of life. I loved that within a 5 minute car ride we were there! I could put Squirt in the stroller and just walk around. It was a great way to pass the time after he took an afternoon nap.

So, Squirt, his mom and I headed to the Farmer's Market to get some veggies for dinner!

Can't wait to go back! It just makes me happy!

Happy Birthday America! 5 weeks late

I LOVE July 4th.
It is probably my favorite holiday!
I LOVE fireworks!
I love wearing RED, WHITE AND BLUE.
I love Patriotic songs and gosh darn it I am PROUD to be an American and I proudly declare, "God Bless America"
So with a welcoming Patriotic Snack/Centerpiece
and a picnic basket and cooler, Stephanie, Marcus and I decided to enjoy the July 4th rendition of Pops in the Park!
With half, if not all of Charlotte....

I thought it was neat that someone hung this flag in the bushes.

While we didn't have VIP seats.....we still had a GRAND Ol time! Seriously though, I tried to become the guest conductor but for some reason they didn't like my answer to the question "What does the Charlotte Symphony mean to you?" or my answer to the question "What is your favorite Patriotic song?" Fear not, I'm already planning for next year! ha!
The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra was awesome!
The people next to us had cool sparklers. I think the last time I "played" with sparklers we were at my Grandparents for 4th of July festivities! Gramma always bought sparklers and poppers!
Sadly we didn't think to take a group picture until it was dark and we were packing up!

Five.

It happened.
I opened my front door this morning and saw FIVE "3 inch killer bees" also known by their scientific name...Cicada Killers.
5!
They are almost gone!
It is kind of sad.
In a weird way.
For over a month I have opened my front door to a swarm of "3 inch killer bees" buzzing about. Yesterday I noticed the number had literally dwindled overnight.
This morning, same thing.
I think they are going to be completely gone by Wednesday!
Woo Hoo!
Have a great day!

Coming clean...

I have a confession. I'm a pre-blogger.
Here's the deal....Sunday night I completed my blog posts for this week. I knew it would be a busy week at work and I didn't want to leave everyone hanging so I figured I'd be a step ahead and just set all of my posts to post in the morning. I also didn't want to have one big
"Claire & Dave's Wedding" post so I split the events up into different days.
Doing this was a great idea in my mind but then I never read any my posts after they posted and I didn't really ever log on to read other blogs. And, as you know all I blogged about was Wedding Weekend.
But, because I pre-blogged (yep, I think I just made up a word) I never wrote a post about meeting Melissa from The View From Five Two. However, she wrote an awesome post that I am just going to direct all of you too!
I had the privilege of meeting Melissa a few weeks ago. Though my Mom thought it was slightly weird and I was a bit hesitant, I also thought it was so cool to meet a blogger in person! Of course I always think it's a good idea to meet people not only in a public place but also during the day (hello 20/20, CSI, Dateline etc.) so we met at Coldstone! Melissa is so sweet! We really are living basically the same life that it's scary that it's funny!
Naturally, as bloggers, we took a picture but I must say, I had been in the pool for a good portion of the morning/afternoon and literally scarfed down lunch, threw on some clothes and met her. It was a very glamorous first impression! ha!

Melissa mentions it in her post but I love the idea of a blogger meeting so if you're interested, contact Melissa! All of the info is on her blog!
Have a great day!

Claire and Dave's WEDDING Part 4

The wedding was beautiful! Dave's dad had the honor of marrying them and performed a beautiful ceremony. I am so blessed to know these two and to share in their special day.
Claire never stopped smiling!

I think it is so special when a bride and groom include a picture of their parents cutting their wedding cakes!
The reception was in a "basement" of a building and it was rather dark. I lucked out with this picture since everyone including the photographer was taking a picture at this same time!
The Girls Cruise Crew!
Myself, Aunt Sue, Claire, Trish, KP
Claire's parents are not only adorable, but have raised such Godly, loving, caring, giving children. I am so glad to have them in my life as well. They just open their arms and their home to everyone!
There ya have it! Claire and Dave's wedding weekend!
Can't wait to do this whole wedding thing again in a few weeks for college roomie, Steph!

Claire and Dave Wedding Part 3-Pre Wedding

After beginning the morning with some amazing doughnuts (I'm pretty sure I ate my weight in glazed and glazed kreme filled...oops!) it was time to get our hair done!

Unfortunately it was so hot we didn't take an after picture but, here is our before picture:

Claire's hair was PERFECT! Very bridal and just gorgeous!
After hair, we headed to the church (half an hour early....woo hoo! go us!) and realized we should probably spend some time scuffing our shoes so no one falls!
Sarah did such a great job!

I may have been a little excited!

We fine dined on some AMAZING Christian Chicken Nuggets! Veggies and fruit!
We were all ready and Claire's Aunt mentioned we should pose this way for a picture. I'm pretty confident my clavicle bones look like they are about to pop out of my skin!
Claire working on putting her shoes on! She was STUNNING and BEAMING the entire time!!!!

Tomorrow will be my last Claire and Dave wedding post! Complete with reception photos! Sadly, I do not have any picture from the actual wedding. Bummer!

C&D Wedding Part 2 -Ode to Krispy Kreme

I woke up at 4:25 Saturday morning.
That's right...4:25 AM.
So, I attempted to fall back asleep but I failed.
In an effort to not wake anyone else up, I decided to stay in bed.
But I was bored.
So, I waited until 6:00 and took a quick shower.
Once I got out of the shower I woke Trish up and we collectively decided we needed to visit Krispy Kreme!
Before this 6:30am adventure, I couldn't tell you the last time I had a Krispy Kreme doughnut!!!!

The HOT sign was on!!!! SCORE!
I was secretly hoping to try the Cheerwine doughnut but sadly, it is only sold in boxes of 6 in grocery stores and not individually (or at all) at their storefront.
We just HAD to enjoy a doughnut before heading back to the house! I devoured my Glazed Kreme Filled doughnut while Trish enjoyed a chocolate one. Sadly, those pictures are on her camera.
Before you view this picture, let me just remind you it was most likely between 6:45am and 7:00am. I took a shower but DID NOT dry my hair. Or do anything else for that matter aside from throwing on a dress. It was creeping to 100* and humid and was most likely 85-90* at this point. AKA curly, poofy, unruly hair city!

We proudly walked in the door with a dozen HOT glazed, 6 chocolate glazed with sprinkles and 6 glazed kreme filled for everyone else to enjoy!

We also brought back hats for everyone to wear!
And later on today.......pre wedding pictures!
